Type locality: ‘Philippine Islands’, ‘H.M.S. Samarang’.
Label locality: ‘China, Voy. Samarang’.
Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 20150107 (H. Cuming collection). Indirect lectotype selection by inference of holotype ( Cernohorsky, 1969: 213).
Remarks: There is a discrepancy in the locality between the original description and the original label, however, according to Petit (2007: 95), they are frequently erroneous, as was often the case with material collected during the voyage of the Samarang.
