Type locality. Vietnam (Ninh Binh: Cuc Phuong NP).

Type material. ZMUM (W.237), Russia.

Records from Vietnam. Cao Bang (Thach An); Lang Son ; Thai Nguyen (Dinh Hoa) ; Bac Giang ; Hanoi (Ba Vi NP) ; Ninh Binh (Cuc Phuong NP) ; Hoa Binh (Mai Chau) ; Son La (Moc Chau) ; Phu Tho (Xuan Son NP) ; Nghe An (Que Phong) ( Thai 1984b; Do 1994; Le 1995a; Huynh & Nguyen 2004a; Huynh et al. 2005).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun nhỏ tây bắc.

Remarks. Thai (1983) proposed a new subgenus Terrata of the genus Pheretima , and placed the species under the new subgenus. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ", further examination was not possible because all previously collected material has been lost.
